A place where nature and heritage come together

Nestled among rolling hills in the heart of Central Hawke’s Bay, Woodland Hills is a peaceful 18-hectare woodland created to inspire a deeper connection with nature.

What began as a vision to transform a rural landscape into a thriving woodland has become a place of beauty, reflection and discovery. Thousands of carefully selected trees have been planted to create an ever-changing landscape that celebrates the seasons, biodiversity and the simple pleasure of spending time outdoors.

We are passionate about sharing this special place with others. Throughout the year, Woodland Hills hosts several events that celebrate nature, wellbeing, local culture and the changing seasons. Our events are intentionally small, welcoming and designed to create meaningful connections between people and place.

Community is at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to support the Hawke’s Bay Helicopter Rescue Trust and Hawke’s Bay Knowledge Bank through fundraising events. Visits at other times can be arranged by appointment.

Whether you visit for an afternoon or return throughout the seasons, we hope Woodland Hills leaves you feeling refreshed, inspired and connected—to nature, to history and to the remarkable landscape of Hawke’s Bay.

We look forward to welcoming you.
